Interviews : Interview - Blaine Cartwright of Nashville Pussy

Interviews Getting the chance to interview Blaine Cartwright of Nashville Pussy (also Nine Pound Hammer) it was hard to shut off my "fan" mode. Hopefully I accomplished this with some conversation with the singer and guitar player from one of my all time favorite rock bands.

Interviews : Sex Slaves Video Interview & Live clips

Interviews J-Bomb, Eric13, and Del Cheetah are some of the hardest working young musicians I think I've ever met. For the better part of the last few years they have toured endlessly, playing their brand of rock n roll. This brand is every bit as hard as the stuff I was weened on in the 80's, but lacks the cheese factor and that's good, because they won't become our cartoon joke after a few years. The songs are well put together, rock like fuck, and lets face it, they are catchy.

Interviews : Imterview - Full Scale Panic

Interviews Full Scale Panic bring to the table serious subject matter in their song catalog - oppression, civil rights, and so on... but they don't seem to forget to have fun onstage and off. Some times a band can forget to do that, and it will show up in their music. I don't see that happening any time soon to these lads from Toledo Ohio. Tyler, Jas, Chris, and new bassist Mark (Former-Manute Bol) sat down and talked with globalpunkreview.com about their upcoming full length CD on SBS records, and the prospects of touring in 2010.

Interviews : Interview with Ricky Rat of the Trash Brats

Interviews This past September, one of Detroit's best known and well loved bands, the Trash Brats, got back together for a show at Small's. This was the final of three shows the boys put on in 2009. The occasion, well... fans and the band had an itch to scratch. We (globalpunkreview.com) were there and did a video interview with the band, but due to technical problems the video is non-exsistant. Not one to accept defeat, I contact Ricky Rat, founding member of the Trash Brats, and asked him to answer a few questions about the show, and the band's future.

Interviews : Interview with Todd Evans of Mobile Deathcamp

Interviews Let's get the bitchin' out of the way first... I don't care for the Ritz in Warren Michigan. Over priced drinks, and they don't clean their tap lines. This means when you pay too much for the beer it's skunky as hell. This didn't bother me when I was young fool just happy to get a beer legally or otherwise. Maybe it's just that I'm used to dives where I know almost everyone and I don't feel like the oldest guy in the place... maybe it's just my own insecurities... LOL. Nope, can't stand the place and I don't need a specific reason. But if I like the band enough I'll go, grin and bear it. Second, I'm gonna speed past a couple opening acts in a blitzkrieg review.

Interviews : Interview with Cody Childers of Into The Void

Interviews Cameron (Bass and vocals) and Cody Childers head up one of the most powerful young metal bands around today, Into The Void. They blend new school attitude, and technology with old school work ethic, and sound. With two releases under their belt, See You Pay and Black Dawn, plus thousands of miles of touring, these young guns have bucked traditional ways of getting to their audience for going it alone with both records being done in their studios, on their own label, booking gigs with all sorts of bands be it rock, metal or hardcore punk to even creating their own videos. You would do well to check out Into The Void and their past catalogue while they're working on the new one. In the meantime, we’ve talked to Cody (guitar) about what's happening at Into The Void's home base, and what fans may expect in the future.

Interviews : Video Interview - Eddie and the Hot Rods

Interviews The chance to talk one on five with one of the UK's most influential bands to hit the stage just before the punk explosion was a big kick for me. Eddie and The Hot Rods are one of those bands that stick with me. Their records over the years have always made my regular rotation at home, at work, and in my car. I can't tell you how many speeding tickets I've almost got while driving and listening to their version of Get Out Of Denver, or how many times Do Anything You Wanna Do has brought me back to the better part of my teenage years. I dont really prepare a rigid set of questions, as my aim is for interviews is to remain more conversational than anything else. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed meeting and talking with the boys.

Interviews : Interview with Squirrel from The Cavity Creeps

Interviews The songs that stick with you all your life, the ones you jam the most in your car, when you're fixing the sink, or bumping uglies to are done by the bands you have a connection with. Any number of things can connect you with that band, emotions, admiration, respect, or just raw talent. The relative short time that The Cavity Creeps have been around they have developed not just fans, but connections, and relationships with those they have played for and with. The Cavity Creeps play punk/OI music with a twist.

Interviews : Ashers! A New Band with a Familiar Face

Interviews The Unseen have long been a namesake in the Punk scene. Now from the ashes comes a new band lead by singer Mark Unseen called appropriately, Ashers. With a new CD in tow, Ashers recently set out on an east coast tour, only to be sidelined by the barrage of hurricanes crashing the coast and the party. The original plan was a review of a local Florida performance. Since that became impossible, Mark was kind enough to give an interview.

Interviews : Interview with Larry Love of Homeward Bound

Interviews My first time seeing this cat Larry Love was watching him play on the back of a flatbed trailer as it went rolling by in a parade. I had been in Toledo for about three weeks and needed a music fix. What little I heard was impressive, but loose, like only a pro can do it. Like your best hitters never stress, even when facing a 100mph fast ball. Homeward Bound is that kinda band too, all of 'em. I've seen 'em play to a huge adoring crowd, I've seen them battle through equipment problems with 40 people, it doesnt matter. They play it loose. but unleash a powerful smack when the rock 'n roll starts to flow.

Interviews : Interview w/Tex Newman of Country Bob and The Bloodfarmers

Interviews Every town ,everywhere has its dark dank underbelly. Most choose to avoid it,ignore it, or drive as quickly through it as possible. But there are those that dwell there, dredge out an existence, fuck, fight, and shit there, choosing to embrace it then, slap the piss outta it...
