Globalpunkreview.com presents the Black Knots. This band is the definition of V8 fueled rock n roll. So good they signed two recording deals in 2008 , one for Guitarmageddon on Deadbeat Records, and None So Fresh on Teenage Heart Records.
Grommet hailing from the Motor City is back by popular demand after unleashing their second CD Anti-Verse to critical, and audience acclaim in Detroit and Toledo back in May.
Toledo veterans Ugly Tribe Revival bring their southern influenced six string attack and what we understand is one of Toledo's most electrifying live performers around today.
Smoke Theory with their recently revamped line up has proven to be even more powerful than the last, and captured many's attention in their last GPR production with Choking Susan. They'll be performing with Grommet and the Black Knots in Detroit also.
This is a night where Toledo gets to see more than just one legendary performance. In a single night you'll see four of them!

Our media personalities in print, on TV, radio, and yes even the internet still cling to the outdated belief that guys like Bruce Springsteen, and his music, represent the working man of this country. The very notion is laughable. When do you think he last punched a clock, had to pray his beat up mini van made it to the in-laws for Thanksgiving, or better yet, wondered if his paycheck was gonna pay the bills and feed the family this week.

I'm gonna go off on just a little tirade for a sec before I get to the show, because it all ties in. I in no way consider myself any kind of insider in the music business. I do possess a limited amount of common sense though. It did take an outsider, and by outsider I mean someone who does not live in Toledo, to point out the strange absurdity of having two clubs owned by the same company trying to appeal to much the same people on the same street, literally an outfield throw away.
